MONOC Becomes First Licensed Training Site in New Jersey for NAED

New Jersey agencies that use EMD protocols no longer need to travel out of state

Wall, NJ -- August 2, 2010 --- Last month, MONOC Mobile Health Services became the first and only licensed training site in New Jersey for the National Association of Emergency Dispatch (NAED). As a result, other agencies that use the NAED Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols in New Jersey may now attend classes at MONOC instead of traveling out of state to attend a class or having to hire out of state instructors to come to them. This option will save agencies considerable money and will hopefully convince other agencies to switch over to the NAED protocols which are the most respected in the world.

MONOC's goal is to become an Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) by the NAED. This accreditation would complement MONOC's Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) accreditation as well as their Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) accreditation.

As New Jersey's largest EMS and ambulance provider serving over 2.8 million residents in over 1,800 square miles of the Garden State, MONOC's 24/7 9-1-1communications center answers over 153,000 requests for service each year. Consequently, MONOC continually strives to achieve excellence and strongly supports NAED's mission which is "To advance and support the public-safety emergency telecommunications professional and ensure that citizens in need of emergency, health, and social services are matched safely, quickly, and effectively with the most appropriate resource."
